IMPROVISING AS A SOLOIST & ACCOMPANIST
workshop & performance by Chad Lefkowitz

In this workshop, Chad will explain the role of soloists and accompanists in a jazz group, delving into the techniques and concepts that one can practice to develop their skills as a musician in each role. Chad will advise individual players on how they can each improve, and exercises. Chad also uses fun “improvisation games” that will challenge each musician and create immediate results in the improvement of their group performance. After workshop, Chad will perform featuring David Manuhutu on piano, Dave Rimba on Drum and Kevin Yosua on Bass.
